REQUIREMENTS
Dimensions and configurations: See figures 1 and 2.
Materials and finishes:
Grommets, actuator, and cable: Rubber, nominal hardness in accordance with ASTM D2000 and
RR-S-615.
Thrust bushing: Aluminum alloy 2024-14, in accordance with SAE-AMS-QQ-A-225 and ASTM B211
gold chromate finish.
Compression cable clamp: Aluminum alloy No. 380, ASTM B85, and SAE-AMS-4291 olive drab
chromate finish.
Hardware:
Shield assemblies are supplied with four No. 4-40 UNC 2A, 0.5 inch screws for mounting shield to
insulator.
Packaging:
Complete unit to be packaged in accordance with MIL-STD-2073-1, method 10.

M28731/38-0001: Cable clamp style A.
M28731/38-0002: Cable clamp style B.
