MIL-DTL-2726/36C
REQUIREMENTS
Dimensions and configuration: See figure 1.
Contact resistance: When tested as specified in accordance with MIL-DTL-2726, the voltage drop
shall not exceed 20 millivolts. Measured between the end of a 12.000-inch
length of AWG number 6 stranded copper wire properly connected to the test
plug, and the connection stud of the receptacle.
Uncoupling force: Minimum of 8 pounds; maximum of 20 pounds.
High Impact shock: Disengagement of the test plug from the receptacle under High Impact shock
shall not be considered as a failure.
Contact hardness: Minimum of Rockwell 76B.
Mating plug: MIL-DTL-2726/34, Part or Identifying Number (PIN) M2726/34-001 red;
PIN M2726/34-002 black.
Design: Panel hole .906 inch diameter. Panel thickness .062 to .250 inch.
Material: Body and cap rubber, in accordance with ASTM-D2000, M2AC 710 A13E034, or plastic
in accordance with ASTM-D5948 MAI-60.
Electrical rating: 40-ampere, 125-volt, single pole.
PIN: M2726/36-001 (red), symbol 1213.3, M2726/36-002 (black), symbol 12213.5.
Contact finish: Silver plate.
