REQUIREMENTS
Dimensions and configuration: See figure 1.
Contacts: Each contact shall contain 7 brush wires with a tolerance limit of ± 1. Each brush wire
diameter shall be .0073 to .0085 inch (0.185 mm to 0.216 mm).
Material:
Body: In accordance with MIL-DTL-55302 or approved equivalent.
Sleeve: Stainless steel in accordance with MIL-DTL-55302.
Plating: The contact termination plating shall be in accordance with table I. Brush wire plating shall
be gold in accordance with ASTM B488, type II, code C, class 1.27 over nickel in accordance with
SAE-AMS-QQ-N-290. Cut ends or brush wires need not be plated.
