REQUIREMENTS
Dimensions and configuration: See figure 1 and table I.
Material:
Insulators: In accordance with MIL-DTL-55302.
Contact retention clips: Beryllium copper in accordance with ASTM B194.
Wire support: Elastomer in accordance with ASTM D2000.
Mounting bushings: Stainless steel in accordance with ASTM A582, series 300.
Contact identification: See figure 1 and table I.
Mating and unmating: The maximum mating force shall be the average mating force measured in five
engagements and shall not exceed .5 times the number of contacts in pounds.
Contact resistance: The potential drop across a mated contact at 3.0 amperes test current shall not exceed 25
millivolts, and after corrosion test shall not exceed 30 millivolts.
Dielectric withstanding voltage:
Sea level: 1,500 V ac (rms) test.
50,000 feet altitude: 500 V ac (rms) test.
Current rating: 3.0 amperes maximum per contact. 2.25 continuous per contact per connector at room ambient.
Contact: See table I.
Keying plug: M55302/85.
Insertion and removal tool: M81969/10-01 and M81969/10-02.
Crimp tool: Hand crimp in accordance with M22520/1.
Part or Identifying Number (PIN): M55302/82-(dash number from table I).
Required testing limited to group A test only. Qualification requirements are not applicable.
