REQUIREMENTS:
Dimensions and configuration: See figure 1.
Insertion and withdrawal forces. The insertion and withdrawal forces shall be as follows:
Insertion force - - - - - - - - - 6 pounds (maximum).
Withdrawal force - - - - - - - 2 pounds (minimum).
6 pounds (maximum).
Spring life. Test plug TP291, in accordance with MIL-J-641.
Voltage breakdown. Voltage breakdown shall not occur between springs when the mating plug is inserted.
Evidence of failure shall be checked using 500 volts ac.
Qualification: Qualification is not required for this specification sheet. First article inspection shall be a visual and
mechanical inspection in accordance with MIL-J-641.
