NOTES:
1. Dimensions are in inches.
2. Metric equivalents are given for information.
3. Unless otherwise specified, tolerance is ± .005 (.13 mm).
4. Keys are furnished (loose pack) with connectors to be installed by customer.
5. There are 6 possible positions per end which gives 36 total positions available for keying.
6. Keys and pins are furnished with connectors. If ordered separately they consist of the following
parts:
a. M55302/124-01 (for M55302/120 and 121) Two keys and 4 roll pins (.250 length).
b. M55302/124-02 (for M55302/122 and 123) Two keys and 4 roll pins (.312 length).
c. M55302/124-03 (for M55302/120 and 122) Two keys and no roll pins.

REQUIREMENTS:
Dimensions and configuration: See figure 1.
Material and finish:
Key: Stainless steel in accordance with ASTM A240/A240M and ASTM A582/A582M, passivated in
accordance with SAE-AMS2700, method 1, type 2.
Roll pins: Stainless steel in accordance with ASTM A240/A240M passivated in accordance with
SAE-AMS2700, method 1, type 2.
Application:
Keys to be used in accordance with MIL-DTL-55302/120 thru 123.
Roll pin to be used in accordance with MIL-DTL-55302/120 thru /123; /121 and /123 mandatory; and
/120 and /122 optional.
Installation:
Socket connector (daughterboard): Place key in hexagonal cavity in predetermined position (one of
six). Next push roll pins into the two holes in connector body.
Pin connector (motherboard): Place key in hexagonal cavity in predetermined position (one of six) to
match opposing key in socket connector. Hold key in position by installing mounting screw thru the
motherboard or push roll pins into the two holes in the connector.
Part or Identifying Number (PIN): M55302/124-(dash number from associated table with figure 1).
Qualification and quality conformance requirements are not applicable.

modifications generated by this amendment. This was done as a convenience only and the Government
assumes no liability whatsoever for any inaccuracies in these notations. Bidders and contractors are
cautioned to evaluate the requirements of this document based on the entire content irrespective of
