2.4 Order of precedence. In the event of a conflict between the text of this document and the references cited herein
(except for related specifications sheets), the text of this document takes precedence. Nothing in this document,
however, supersedes applicable laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has been obtained.
3. REQUIREMENTS
3.1 Specification sheets. The individual item requirements shall be as specified herein and in accordance with the
applicable specification sheet. In the event of any conflict between the requirements of this specification and the
specification sheet, the latter shall govern.
3.2 Qualification. Connectors and accessories furnished under this specification shall be products that are
authorized by the qualifying activity for listing on the applicable qualified products list before contract award (see 4.6 and
6.3).
3.2.1 Quality.
3.2.1.1 Statistical process control (SPC). The contractor shall implement and use SPC techniques in the
manufacturing process for parts covered by this specification. The SPC program shall be developed and maintained in
accordance with EIA-557. Where SPC cannot be utilized because of non-continuous production requirements, a lot
sampling plan for inspection in accordance with group A lot and sample size with c = 0 can be utilized. The SPC and c
= 0 programs shall be documented and maintained as part of the overall reliability assurance program as specified in
EIA-557. Evidence of such compliance shall be verified by the qualifying activity of this specification as a prerequisite
for qualification.
